"I decided to go school and try my luck at St. Thomas because I didn't like the direction my life was going. I knew I needed to go to school and focus on adjusting the way I approached the game. I needed structure, and the boys at St. Thomas welcomed me to their family, teaching me how to be a good teammate. Playing in the CIS was one of the best decisions I've made in my life and I know I wouldn't have lasted in pro without my college experience. After 5 years of major junior, 3 years of college, and now pro, hockey has taught me two things - the first is that there are bigger things in life. I've burned bridges with people because all I cared about was hockey, and now I'm learning to treat people with respect regardless of who they are and what they do in life. And secondly, have fun. Hockey is so much fun and the minute it goes from a game to a job I will walk away." (JC Campagna - St. Thomas University/UPEI/Adirondack Thunder)
